I've never blogged before. I feel like a I don't even belong to my own generation. So thank you, Ellen, for bringing me up to date.
I leave on Sunday for a three week cross-country, documentary road trip with my boss (yes, still Walter), a camerman and a sound guy. We have one week in NY, then we start driving westward. It's in conjunction with the film version of On the Road that Walter will be directing. We're interviewing Beats, scholars of the Beats and artists descended from the Beats along the way. Perhaps I'll create a blog journal for the trip here...
Love,
Eileen

Ok, I got all excited about creating a Froogle Wish List, so I created a Google account, went shopping, and can't figure out how to add an item to my list! Jay, help! Froogle help says "hit the "add item" button, but I can't find it.
Also, how did you get the blog to use "Jay" when your handle is jgbythesea?

Ahh... I figured out how to post! I'm a blog genius. Ok Ok I just know how to use the help section of the site. If only I had something to say....
So I said this in the comment section, This is great! this can be used for christmas lists by clicking on your profile and scrolling down to make a wishlist with "froogle".
Also (and I don't want to give Bob's new company any trouble for saying this... I'm a huge Sprint fan) You should all check out Skype! (Skype.com) Its free internet telephone to all Skype users
You can also, for very little $$$, set a phone number( with voicemail and forwarding) to be called from any phone (SkypeIn), and call any phone in the world (SkypeOut). It is VERY cheap to call in the US and to the UK and around the world. (Slightly more expensive, but still cheap... to call UK cell phones). You can also get a Skype phone to attach to your computer...
My Skype name is jaybirdg and you can call my from a landline at (310) 933-5634.
